Halo fit and added weight
A halo strap supports more load around the forehead and rear of the head instead of relying entirely on facial-interface pressure. Some users prefer that distribution; others need the closer, more rigid hold of an elite-style strap. The S3 Pro’s battery can counterbalance the front of the headset, but counterbalance does not remove mass—it redistributes it.
At 547 g for the strap and battery alone, this is not a minimal accessory. Consider neck comfort, storage case clearance, and how the headset behaves during fast movement. Fit should be adjusted gradually rather than overtightened.
Battery and charging behavior
The B100 attaches magnetically and can be swapped for another charged B100. A second battery and dock are separate purchases unless a listing states otherwise. BOBOVR says the B100 and older B2 use different interfaces, so owners of earlier accessories should not assume cross-compatibility.
BOBOVR also notes that Quest may limit on-head charging near 80 percent. That behavior should not be mistaken for a failed battery strap. Follow the manufacturer’s charger guidance and disconnect/store a battery appropriately when it will not be used for a while.
What the fan can and cannot do
The built-in fan moves air across the forehead area and can be adjusted from 1 to 100. It is not an air conditioner and does not cool the headset’s processor. BOBOVR says wind noise becomes noticeable above roughly half speed, which matters for open-ear audio or quiet applications.
For fitness, airflow may improve forehead comfort, but sweat management still requires cleaning the facial interface and following the headset maker’s care instructions.
